Common jobs, with the exact URL you end up with. Replace ABCD1234 with your link id. (Use Customize link on the link's page and you never have to type these by hand.)
Share one link on several channels and compare them
Same link, different utm per share:
https://dl.aquagen.co.in/d/ABCD1234?utm=whatsapp
https://dl.aquagen.co.in/d/ABCD1234?utm=email,weekly
In Mixpanel, break deep_link_handled down by utm to see which channel works.
Send each person a personal link
Allow the names you need under Dynamic params (for example email), then add the value as base64 data:
https://dl.aquagen.co.in/d/ABCD1234?data=eyJlbWFpbCI6ImphbmVAZXhhbXBsZS5jb20ifQ
That data is {"email":"jane@example.com"}. The app adds email=jane@example.com to the screen it opens, so the page can show that person's details.
Open a web page
Create a link with Custom → Redirect to URL, enter the address, and choose:
- In-app browser: keeps the person inside the app.
- External browser: opens their normal browser.
Count how many people open an email
- New link → Opens on: Email open pixel.
- List the details you want recorded under Dynamic params, for example
email. - Open the link and use Customize link to get the
<img>snippet. Paste it into the email.
See the Email pixel tab.
Show a logo in the email and count opens
Same as above, but fill in Image URL (a public https address). The pixel counts the open, then shows your image.
Try a link out without polluting analytics
Turn on Test link when creating it. Its id starts with TEST_ and no Mixpanel events are recorded for it: not the click, not the open, not the email pixel. Everything else works as normal.
- A link cannot be changed between test and normal later. To go live, create a normal link.
- In the list, set Show to Test links only to see just your tests, or Normal only to hide them.
Pause a link, or retire it
- Off (the switch): people see "This link is no longer active". Switch it back on any time. Off links are hidden from the list by default: set Status to All or Off to see them.
- Delete (on the link's page): hidden and treated as not found. The data is kept, and the id is never reused.
Make a link web-only
Leave Works in the mobile app off. The mobile app opens its home page. The website is not affected.
